Ingredients

  • 2 cup Basmati Rice
  • 15.5 oz Chickpeas
  • 1 cup Onion Chopped
  • 1 cup Carrots Chooped
  • 2 no Green Chilies
  • 1 cup Green Beans Chopped
  • 5 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Salt Table
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seed
  • 1 no Cinnamon
  • 1 no Bay Leaf
  • 2 no Cardamom

Instructions

  1. Cook rice separately according to package direction or leftover rice works best for this recipe.
  2. Soak chickpeas for 6 - 8 hours and cook until it becomes soft.

  3. In a pan heat oil add cumin seeds, cinnamon stick, cloves, cardamom, bay leaf, chopped onion, green chilies and cook until onion becomes soft.
  4. Add chopped carrot, green beans and cook until vegetables become soft. Add chickpeas, salt and mix well. Add cooked rice and mix well. Check for the salt and garnish it with chopped coriander leaves.
