Ingredients

  • 4 Left over chappatis
  • 1/2 Apple
  • 1 Banana
  • 1 Chikoo
  • Cardamom powder
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • Dry fruits viz. badam, pista, kaju, kismiss for garnishing.

Instructions

  1. Keep the chapattis in the oven for one or two minutes. You will get a crispy roti like papad.
  2. Break them and put it in the mixer and grind to a fine powder.
  3. Take a bowl and transfer the same into the bowl. Add the milk, sugar, honey , cardamom powder and stir well.
  4. If it is too thick, u can add extra milk. Cut the fruits and mix in it, garnish with chopped dry fruits.
  5. Serve chilled or on room temperature as u like. It is a healthy breakfast, meal, evening snack.

Tips:

  • Consistency: Adjust the amount of water based on whether you want a thicker or thinner porridge. More water makes it soupy, while less water will create a more dry, upma-like consistency.
  • Vegetables: You can add any vegetables you have on hand to make the dish more nutritious. Frozen peas, carrots, and potatoes work especially well.
  • Spices: Customize the spices to your preference. You can add cumin powder, garam masala, or even a dash of curry leaves for added flavor.
  • Protein: For a protein boost, you can add some cooked lentils (like moong dal) or chickpeas to the porridge.
